Group Technical Manager

A Group Technical Manager is required for the overall management of all manufactured and traded products from a safety, quality assurance and fit for purpose end use. Most products produced are from our Melbourne based facility however we also have manufacturing sites in SEA. Predominantly our products are used in textile and leather processing, but we also manufacture for other markets. Therefore, all adequately qualified applicants will be considered. The role will be to oversee and manage the new product development process, jointly oversee manufacturing processes for OH&S compliance, continuous process improvement and cost reduction. The position will oversee management of the laboratories and staff, chair and manage product development and technical meetings. Customer interaction will be proportionate to the importance to the business and an essential part of the role, therefore travel both nationally and internationally is required. The successful applicant must have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the hazards associated with chemical handling and manufacturing, have extensive chemical experience in manufacturing operations, including employee management in a chemical manufacturing process environment, have competence in analytical chemistry procedures and have strong organisational and decision-making skills. An excellent command of the English language is essential. Additional languages could be beneficial. The successful applicant will need to reside in Melbourne, Australia. Technical Sales – Wood Panel Additives

Job description

Due to the expansion of our business we are currently requiring a technical sales person for the promotion of wood panel processing auxiliaries for the wood panels industry. This is for the domestic and export markets. The applicant should have excellent knowledge in all facets of wood panel production, including particle board, MDF, paper laminating of these substrates, OSB, veneers, ply panel etc. both on continuous and discontinuous machinery. The position will encompass auxiliary product development, writing technical application data sheets, testing and application of processing auxiliaries in local and overseas markets. The applicant will enjoy the ability to travel domestically and internationally to run production trials for promotion of the products. The applicant may from time to time be required to attend technical seminars and present papers. An excellent command of the English language is essential. Additional languages could be beneficial. Paint Chemist

A position has become available for a paint chemist. The position is based in our Dandenong South plant and is casual. Initially it will be one day per week for 8 – 12 weeks. Working hours are from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm. After this initial product development period, the position will be reviewed depending on the progress made. The position is to assist in product improvement on our locally produced inorganic pigments. You need to be able to travel to and from the place of employment by your own means.
